Bias Incident Education

Everyone at SF State has a right to a safe learning, living, and working environment. SF State views bias-related incidents as antithetical to our university community values of inclusion, belonging, and mattering.  The Bias Incident Education Team reviews and addresses bias-related incidents and reports that deserve attention, but may not necessarily rise to the level of Title IX / DHR (Discrimination, Harassment, Retaliation) or Labor / Employee Relations / HR (Human Resources). The BIET reviews incidents and determines an action plan rooted in individual and group education and learning.

Remote Campus Operations

San Francisco State University campus remains open for necessary University operations, but individual offices may be closed. You can see a list of open university offices at news.sfsu.edu.  For more information about remote instruction, please see our FAQ.
 

If you need to submit forms, documentation, or other paper documents during this period, we have identified some options to help. Broadly speaking, we will accept a form as signed if submitted directly from your SFSU student email account. Some details on specific forms are below.

Submitting Graduation Applications & related forms/documents

Including

  1. Send completed form as attachment from your SFSU email directly to your advisor or department office. 
  2. A physical signature is not needed only if submitting forms via SFSU email.
  3. Advisor or department offices will review and forward through any required approval workflow.
  4. Once complete, the final approver (Chair) should send directly to the Registrar’s graduation email regweb@sfsu.edu.

Note: Graduate students who intend to graduate Spring or Summer 2020 should contact the Division of Graduate Studies at gradstdy@sfsu.edu

Petition paperwork submitted to another department / office on campus

Including

  1. Send completed form as attachment from your SFSU email directly to your advisor or department office. 
  2. A physical signature is not needed only if submitting forms via SFSU email.
  3. Advisor or department offices will review and forward through any required approval workflow.
  4. Once complete, the final approver should send directly to the Registrar’s records email, records@sfsu.edu.
